Western's Smokehouse, located in Greentop, Missouri, was founded in 1978 by Sam Western, an entrepreneur who has a long history in meat processing. In fact, Sam spent his childhood helping his father butcher beef and hogs on their small farm, not far from where his smokehouse is located today. In 1978, at the age of twenty-six, Sam decided that he wanted to build his own meat processing business.

Sam began butchering for local farmers and now his company is distributing all over the United States. The business continues to grow each year. Western's Smokehouse carries a variety of products, from hickory-smoked gourmet ham to a variety of snack sticks. Western's even offers hickory-smoked dog chews for all the pet lovers.
