So much to see in the middle of a cornfield!”  That is the slogan of the Heartland community in Northeast Missouri, and it couldn’t be more true. Whether you are just passing through, conducting business, or a regular patron, you are sure to be impressed with Heartland’s Solid Rock Café.

The Solid Rock Café has been open since 2000 and was named by Pastor Charles Sharpe. It is a 50’s style dining restaurant and upon entrance, you will be transformed back to that time period.  Navy and white square tile line the floors and old-fashioned metal signs and trinkets adorn the walls.  The tables and booths are complete with red and white vinyl chairs and benches, typical of the 50’s era. To the left of the restaurant you can see antique Ford cars on display, which are part of the Ford Museum that is connected to the restaurant.  All of this creates an atmosphere that is perfect to sit, relax and enjoy the huge menu that is available daily.

Solid Rock Café is open 7 days a week from 6 am to 9 pm and has a daily lunch buffet available from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.  Their menu features breakfast (from 6 am to 10:30 am), burgers and fries, specialty sandwiches, pizza, dinner platters, ice cream and so much more.  All of their food is fresh and made when ordered.  Many items are homemade including their biscuits, jellies, hand cut tenderloins and soups.  What makes them unique is that all of their ice cream, cheese and milk come straight from the local Creamery. The first Tuesday of each month they have a pizza buffet, featuring specialty pizza’s such as philly cheese steak and chicken chipotle.   Some of the other buffet days feature breakfast bar, where you can have breakfast for lunch, baked potato bar, build your own taco salad and make your own fajita.

Customers can expect good food at a reasonable price, a menu with something for everyone, cleanliness, and friendly, honest and trustworthy employees when visiting Solid Rock Café. The café is committed to providing customer satisfaction to all of their guests, new and old.

Jan has been the manager at the café for 3 years and came about her position because she could see a need for some stability for the employees. There were a lot of people coming and going and she knew someone had to be there to walk beside and lead the crew. Jan saw the potential to instill integrity and work ethic to the community members employed there and her assistance with the restaurant became a full time position. She says couldn’t be happier to watch how the restaurant has transformed so many lives. That’s what it is all about at Heartland…changing lives.

Jan’s satisfaction with Kohl Wholesale stems from her driver Ray, salesperson Scott and the customer service she receives from both of them.  She says Ray is an excellent driver and he not only unloads her products, but he catches mistakes and corrects them before they make it to her.Jan says her salesperson Scott is very personable, knows her orders and is great at giving her menu ideas. She says the customer service and accessibility of Kohl help her run a smooth business..

The Solid Rock Cafe is located at 6512 Shelby CR 150 in the Heartland community, just off Heartland
Drive (Rt. E) between Newark and Bethel, Missouri.

Kohl Wholesale wishes Jan and the rest of the Solid Rock Café crew continued success in serving their community.
